Conexant CX53328 – 802.11n and USB in one chip
Conexant Systems, a broadband and digital home semiconductor company, now has a family of 802.11 wireless networking products.11n draft 2.0.
The new items are said to have the lowest power consumption of any similar product, making the CX53322 and CX53328 a suitable choice for battery-powered portable devices.
ICs are primarily intended for devices with built-in Wi-Fi connectivity, such as printers, universal players, cell phones and USB adapters. They got Wi-Fi CERTIFIED 802.11n draft 2.0. This means that the products have passed extensive testing for compatibility with other certified equipment, support the WPA2 (Wi-Fi Protected Access) security protocol, meet the requirements of WMM (Wi-Fi Multimedia) and are backward compatible with products bearing the Wi-Fi CERTIFIED 802 logo.11 a / b / g.
The manufacturer classifies the CX53322 and CX53328 as the fourth generation of products with lower power consumption. Other features of the new products include improved support for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth collaboration, and a high degree of integration. The products include an ARM 9 core, transceiver, RF synthesizer, voltage controlled oscillator, high speed data converters and a digital signal processor, which is responsible for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing / complete code keying (OFDM / CCK). The CX53322 microcircuit, among other blocks, contains a USB interface. Declared support for Linux, Windows CE, Windows XP and Windows Vista.
According to the manufacturer’s estimate, the completed block 802.11n Wi-Fi based on any of the indicated microcircuits occupies no more than 64 square meters on the printed circuit board of the device.mm.
