Microholas: another terabyte optical disc in development

Several development groups are currently working on the creation of optical discs using the holographic principle of information presentation. The most famous of these is, perhaps, InPhase Technologies, which has already begun shipping 300 GB drives. In the future, the creators of the project hope to bring the capacity of their holographic disks to a terabyte.

Real products from the Microholas project should be expected within two years.
