First Wireless USB Sextet Certified

The USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) announced that six first end-user products have received Wireless USB certification.

As a reminder, the Certified Wireless USB logo means that 480 Mbit / s is provided within a range of 3 m, and within a range of 10 m – 110 Mbit / s.

The first “lucky ones” were the following products:

  • Dell Inspiron 1720 laptop
  • D-Link DUB-1210 Wireless USB Adapter
  • D-Link DUB-2240 4-port Wireless USB Hub
  • IOGEAR Wireless USB Hub / Adapter
  • Lenovo T61 / T61p Laptops

Recall that the first boards designed for integration into various devices received their certificates during the spring IDF in Beijing.

In the coming months, we should also expect certified Wireless USB devices from Alereon, Intel, NEC, Realtek and WiQuest to hit the shelves.
