New from MPC Computers: TransPort 2500 laptop, ClientPro 175 desktop PC and ClientPro 434 monoblock

MPC Computers, a subsidiary of MPC Corporation, announced the release of several new products from the ClientPro and TransPort families. One of them is characterized by a not very familiar All-In-One design, often called a candy bar and usually associated with Apple computers.

The first novelty is the TransPort 2500 laptop built on the Intel Centrino Duo platform. A computer weighing about 2.5 kg is equipped with a widescreen display (depending on the specific configuration, having a resolution of WXGA or WXGA +), can have up to 4 GB of RAM, a fingerprint sensor and a TPM model (Trusted Platform Module v 1.2). Optional docking station with DVI and Gigabit LAN ports available. Overall, the TransPort 2500 is positioned as a desktop alternative for business, education, healthcare and government users.

The ClientPro 175 desktop PC is also primarily intended for offices. It is characterized by low power consumption, the use of Intel Core 2 Duo processors and the presence of a standard set of ports, including USB 2.0, COM, LPT and Gigabit Ethernet.

The most interesting of the presented products is the ClientPro 434 monoblock. In essence, it is a PC housed in an LCD housing. The screen, depending on the model, can be widescreen or regular. Touchscreen available as an option. With its VESA mounts, this makes the CP434 a good choice for healthcare environments where PCs need to be mounted on gurneys or other equipment. At the same time, thanks to the space savings provided by the all-in-one design, the ClientPro 434 computers are considered by the manufacturer to be excellent for use in small and home offices.

Some technical details of ClientPro 434:

  • Processor – Pentium Dual Core or Intel Core 2 Duo;
  • Chipset – Intel Q965 Express;
  • Memory – two slots for DDR2 modules with a total capacity of up to 4 GB;
  • 80,160, 250 or 500 GB SATA hard drive;
  • Optical drive CD-RW / DVD Combo or DVD-R / RW Combo;
  • Memory card reader and writer (optional);
  • Built-in 5.1-channel speaker system;
  • Expansion slots – Mini-PCI and MiniCard, PCMCIA Type I and Type II;
  • Graphics subsystem – integrated, based on Intel GMA 3000; optional – ATI Radeon X1700 (128 or 256 MB of memory);
  • Screen – 17 “(optional – touch) or 19” widescreen;
  • Network Adapters – Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 a / b / g WLAN, Bluetooth (optional);
  • TV tuner (optional).
