OCZ Platinum DDR3-1800: “Bubka keeps jumping”

OCZ Technology Group, according to apt observation made by one of our authors, continues to adhere to the tactics of the great athlete, Sergei Bubka.

Another novelty presented today by the company is the world’s first serial PC3-14400 DDR3 memory modules. As the manufacturer notes, the modules “set the industry standard for performance” and are aimed primarily at computer games enthusiasts.

The modules have been tested for operability in DDR3-1800 mode, but, as you would expect, the memory operates at such a high frequency (1800 MHz) with long delays: CL8-8-8-27.

As usual, the assortment will include individual 1GB OCZ Platinum DDR3-1800 modules and sets of two paired modules with a total capacity of 2GB supporting dual-channel configuration.

Equipped with platinum-coated XTC (Xtreme Thermal Convection) heatsinks and a lifetime warranty. There is no data on the price yet, but there is no reason to doubt that it fully corresponds to the record clock speed.
