Leaked specs and photos of the Dell XPS M1730 gaming laptop
Resource Notebook Italia published on its pages the first specifications and photos of the upcoming Dell XPS M1730 laptop, which is destined to become the successor of the infamous XPS M1710 model.
It uses the not so long ago officially presented the first “extreme” mobile processor Intel Core 2 Extreme X7800, 2.6 GHz (more modest models will be available for selection). DDR2-667 memory can be up to 4GB.
Dell is one of the first to support Intel Turbo Memory Technology, which accelerates system boot and operation with optional flash memory. In this case, its volume will be 512 MB or 1 GB.
NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS equipped with 256 MB of RAM will initially be used as a graphics adapter. Subsequently, Dell will also offer the GeForce 8700M as an option, which has not yet been officially announced.
Among other “goodies” with which the XPS M1730 is filled, we note a 17-inch display, Intel PRO / Wireless 4965AGN wireless module, Bluetooth 2 support.0 + EDR and optional Blu-ray drive.
